• Private pilot license – This license allows the holder to pilot an aircraft privately. The holder cannot fly commercially. Private pilot licenses can be attained for different types of aircraft including: powered airplanes, gliders, helicopters, balloons and airships.

• Commercial pilot license – The holder of a commercial pilot license can act as a pilot for hire. Like the private pilot license, commercial pilot licenses can be attained for powered airplanes, gliders, helicopters, balloons and airships.

• Instrument rating – To fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), a private or commercial pilot license holder must have instrument rating qualifications. IFR allows holders to fly in instrument meteorological conditions, or weather conditions that require a pilot to fly primarily by reference to instruments.

• Complex aircraft endorsement – Holders with a complex aircraft endorsement can fly aircraft with retractable landing gear, flaps and a controllable pitch propeller.

• High performance endorsement – Holders of this endorsement can fly aircraft with more than 200 horsepower.

• Flying with an autopilot – Holders can fly aircraft with autopilot systems, a mechanical system that allows the aircraft to be guided without the assistance of a person.

• Advanced GPS navigation – Are you getting the most out of your Garmin 430/530 or your CNX480? If you find yourself using “Direct To” constantly maybe we can help you expand your knowledge of the capabilities of these systems. Among their numerous capabilities these units allow you to utilize SIDs, STARs, and automatically identify VORs, LOCs, and ILS approach paths.
